This is an honest review of the VETTA Capsule London Capsule, a business casual capsule ideal for office wear or if you enjoy adding tailored pieces into your everyday wardrobe.
The London capsule isn’t currently one VETTA is pushing in marketing because like I said it’s meant for the office, and since most people are working from home it doesn’t make much sense.
However, if you are still interested in the collection, and want to purchase a few pieces for your back to work outfits here is a comprehensive review. I will add as much information as possible to help you make a decision, and get a better understanding of the pieces.
If you’re looking for a work capsule wardrobe VETTA is a good option. I have a guide to help get your started along with a FREE downloadable checklist.
A VETTA Capsule Review of the London Capsule
The Basics
Price
The London capsule goes for $529 for 5 items so it’s an investment. That’s roughly $105 per piece which isn’t affordable for everyone.
Firstly, I will link the London Capsule for easy access and to refer back to during this review.
Colours
The colours are within the shade family with a pop of burgundy to add some colour, this is great from a versatility perspective but the grey colour just seemed a bit too light for all year.
Pieces
- The Reversible Oversized Blazer
- The Belted Trouser
- The Fitted Ribbed Cardigan
- The Reversible Mini Skirt
- The Ribbed Mockneck Top
Is the London VETTA Capsule a Premade Capsule Wardrobe?
Yes, the overall premise is that each of their capsules are created to be a capsule in and of itself. With matching patterns, colours, and styles each has a theme. The London capsule encompasses items that can be mixed and matched for business casual outfits, not one piece is out of place. They can be purchased as a full set for one price or you can purchase individual items or create your own custom capsule.
Does the London VETTA CAPSULE Fit Into Your Existing Wardrobe?
Yes. Although the capsules are made to be worn as a set their pieces are versatile enough to be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe. Whether it’s business casual pieces or loungewear, the styles are quite timeless and classic. The London can fit into your wardrobe easily, each piece works on its own as well as together.
The Belted Trouser in Black
Designed with two micro pleats, a high waist, and pockets, these trousers will make any outfit look more polished. Wear the trousers with or without the adjustable belt OR pair the belt with the Reversible Oversized Blazer for a cinched waist.

Fabric
Made from GRS recycled polyester. The fabric was a bit thinner than I had hoped and not very soft, if you’re looking for a cozy pair of trousers for the winter these are not them. I could see them being a good summer or fall choice.
Fit
I do not like the fit of these pants. I have a wide set waist, slim thighs and small butt. Think of an inverted triangle. As a result, the pants were way too big. They fit in the waist comfortably but the thighs gathered an overwhelming amount of fabric so the tailored look of dress pants went right out the window. I could have fit two legs in one pant leg. The belt is also one of those thin fabric belts which I was disappointed in considering the price point of the pants, so it often doesn’t stay flat and bunches.
I own trousers in the same size from other brands that fit perfectly in the thighs, so this seems to be a sizing issue. The model on their website for this capsule in particular, is quite thin so it makes me wonder if the London capsule was made for women with this body type. I can’t speak to any of their other capsules in terms of sizing as this is a review of the London capsule. But if you have a body type like mine or often struggle with an excess amount of fabric I would stay away from these pants.
Recommend
No. The fit was just bad, and I’m not a fan of belts like this. Overall I’ve found better fitting trousers for less of the cost.
The Fitted Ribbed Cardigan
The perfect essential for layering, the Fitted Ribbed Cardigan will be your new BFF this winter. Wear it on its own as a fitted top (with the v neck in front or back) or unbutton and wear it as a cardigan.

Fabric
The quality of this piece is really great. The fabric is 100% GOT Certified Cotton so it’s lightweight, breathable and soft.
Fit
There is nothing wrong with the Fitted Ribbed Cardigan, I saw Jess Harumi with this one on and thought she sized up in the Fitted Ribbed Cardigan. Turns out it was a different one all together, and now I have a cardigan that’s too big. 100% my fault.
Recommend
Yes. The sizing issue was my fault, the cardigan itself is beautiful and very versatile.
The Reversible Oversized Blazer
This oversized, boxy blazer is totally reversible – so you can wear it inside out. It’s plaid on one side and black (with a plaid collar) on the other.
Price

Size

Fabric
Shell made from 100% GRS certified recycled polyester
Fit
The blazer fits TTS in the shoulders and arms, but around the waist was way too big. It’s just an odd fitting blazer, it’s quite boxy so if you like that look go for it. You can see in the photos on their website how big it is, but the way the model is posing it looks great, I usually love an oversized blazer but the bottom half sticks out and doesn’t lay flat against your body.
Recommend
No. I’ve found better blazers for much less and second hand ones with that great oversized look.
Final Verdict
At first glance the capsule looks modern with an oversized blazer, while staying classic with pieces you would often wear to an office such as a cardigan and trousers.
This is what this website is all about. Workwear to rotate.
However, while I didn’t have much luck with the London Capsule I really love the brand, what they stand for, and who they work with. I absolutely will not rule them out and am very interested in some of their other capsules, I believe this capsule was just not the right one for me and that’s okay. This is all part of finding what your style is, not everything will work for you, it takes editing, trial and error.
Choosing a capsule that was business casual was also my mistake. Given our current climate I would have gotten much more use out of The Everyday Capsule or the Lounge Capsule, I did have a choice and I went with the wrong one. But this is trial and error right?
