If you’re anything like me and the thought of wearing dress pants every day to work bums you out, then this post is for you. Here is a pair of dressy sweatpants you can wear to work for casual days, that provide sweat pant comfort with the same put together look a pair of proper dress pants gives an outfit.
Dressy Sweatpants to Add into Your Work Wardrobe
Whether you work from home or in an office, these Wide Leg Dress Pants are designed to give you that professional workwear look but without feeling constrained and uncomfortable all day. Tailored with pleats to mimic the look of a dress pant, while also offering two deep pockets and a high rise for added comfort and style, the fabric is locally knit, breathable, ultra stretchy and sustainable so you can feel good both physically and morally while wearing.
I’m wearing my normal size M which fits snug but comfortable in the waist, while the hips and legs are roomy and relaxed. If you’re in between sizes normally, go up a size in these but all in all they fit true to size for me.

How To Look Formal In Sweatpants
This depends on the style and design of the sweat pant. Stay away from anything with logos, designs or branding. Also, colour can make dress pants look much more casual than they are so stick with a neutral so they fit into your existing wardrobe more fluidly. Style with a similar colour top and make sure to take notice of what you’re pairing them with. Opt for a less casual top over say a sweater so as to limit how casual the whole outfit is, and since you do plan on wearing them to work that goes without saying.
If you work from home the dressy sweat pant is the perfect pant to wear to feel comfortable and put together at home, wearing these dressy sweatpants will give you that lift you need when working from home begins to feel a bit too casual.
Can You Wear Sweatpants For Business Casual
Yes, as mentioned above you can wear certain sweatpants for business casual, just be sure to style with a business casual top and make sure your sweatpants aren’t SO casual they belong indoors at all times.
One of the BIGGEST tips for not just wearing sweatpants to work in an appropriate way, but for any outfit to really look how you want it to is to PLAN. Plan your work outfits the Sunday before the week begins, this way you’re not scrambling and pairing items quickly just to get out of the house. This creates thoughtful, intentional outfits you can then repeat.

How to Style Dressy Sweatpants
For day to day I like to style the Dressy Sweatpant with either a thin black long sleeve shirt for running errands, and casual Sunday’s. Or with a contrasting sweater with a french tuck. The elastic waist makes for extra added comfort, but because the stitching is so sturdy the waistband acts like a belt keeping everything in place, while adding shape to your mid-rift. I tend to dress these pants down more often than I do a business casual look, but that’s just my lifestyle and preference.
With a pant like this stay away from heels, the length is too short to pair with a higher heeled shoe, and the fabric doesn’t coordinate. You could pair them with a loafer or a ballet flat which are both very in style at the moment. Lastly, an oversized blazer would elevate this look, so be sure to keep that in mind when putting your dressy sweatpants look together.
