Finding bath products for dry skin can be tricky. You want to make your bath as comfortable as possible, while also taking care of your skin. I haven’t always been a bath person, but since starting a regular gym routine it’s become an important weekly ritual. I also enjoy the time off my phone to be present. Lately, this cold weather has wreaked havoc on my skin, but these two bath products have really helped. Instead of reaching for harmful products, I’m sticking with local natural ingredients for optimal results.

Bath Products that add ambiance

I like to incorporate candles and greenery to the environment to create a spa like experience, it doesn’t have anything to do with my skin but it helps relaxation which is important. I like this candle by Murphy & Jo which is hand poured in Toronto, ON by a female owned company. The plant is just something I picked up at a local floral shop, they’re cheap and very easy to keep alive.

Bath Milk for dry skin

Herbivore makes a delicious coconut bath milk you can soak in to combat dry skin, it’s cruelty free and natural to top it off. Bath milk has no soap or harmful ingredients therefore your skin receives optimal moisture, plus its silky creamy texture is extremely soothing.

I started combining baths into my weekly routine to soothe sore muscles after the gym, and to create a time block without a phone. That means I get a social media break a few hours a day, benefitting my overall mindset. Creating boundaries for yourself is important, even if they’re small.

Body Whip for dry skin.

Bridlewood Soaps makes a small selection of incredibly yummy smelling body whips. I have the lemon n’ lavender scent, which combines the crisp citrus smell of summer, with the soothing smell of spring florals. It’s nothing short of heavenly, and scents can make or break a bath.

The reason I love this product so much is because its local, cruelty free, and made without any harmful ingredients. I love small batch apothecary inspired products and this is no exception.
