Everlane Jeans Review: 3 Styles Worth Buying Right Now

Share if you like this post!

If you haven’t yet tried on a pair of Everlane denim and you’ve scrolled their website not knowing where to start this post is for you. Here is a quick Everlane jeans review of 3 styles: The 90’s Cheeky Straight, The Modern Flare, and The Authentic Stretch Mid Rise Skinny that are actually worth buying.

Everlane Jeans Review

Everlane has positioned themselves strategically within the denim scene in recent years with the goal of being radically transparent while still providing classic, well made styles and fits perfect for the minimalist dresser.

With a pretty wide selection of denim, each with their own purpose in your wardrobe, sometimes it can be tricky to choose which style(s) to buy. It becomes even more confusing when they have their annual denim sale. By now I have a good handful of styles by Everlane, some that have worked out really well and some that have been less than exciting. Here are my top 3, why I like them, and some tips for you when shopping their denim collection.

Everlane Jeans Review: The Best 3 Styles

The ’90s Cheeky Straight Jean

The 90’s cheeky straight jean fit: An easy straight leg, an extra-high rise, and a butt-boosting rear fit. These are their best sellers, the straight leg and ankle length is super in style and trendy, they look great with everything.

The only issue I have with this style is the lack of stretch, I did order my normal size which fits but a bit of added stretch would have been more comfortable. My waist is wide and I have narrow hips which makes finding denim challenging. Either the waist is too small or the legs are too wide. This is a good compromise and the relaxed look I love. Pair these with a modern fanny pack in camel for your phone and wallet for the perfect daytime look.

The Baggy Jean

The super soft baggy jean features Everlane’s signature Way-High Waist and a wide leg opening for a looser fit, made of 60% Organic Cotton and 40% TENCEL.

These are the most comfortable out of the 3 styles and my personal favourite. They’re very lengthening and fit like a dream, it’s not often I LOVE wearing a pair of denim- these are the one. They give off a 70’s vibe but with a modern every day look, when styled with timeless pieces like this cream jacket you can get a lot of wear out of a baggy jean.

The Way-High Front Skinny Jean

The High Front Skinny offers features Everlane’s highest rise yet, a sleek front panel (no bulky pockets here), and a stretchy, legging-like feel with a gutsy denim look. Plus, it’s made of a super-soft blend of organic cotton and ECOVERO™, so it’s breathable and doesn’t stretch out after wear.

I haven’t worn a skinny jean in a long time but gave these a chance since I wanted a really classic style in my wardrobe, they don’t strangle the ankles or calves like a lot of skinny jeans do, and look effortlessly chic. This style really surprised me, and I’m very happy with how they tie an outfit together by giving my bottom half a more structured look. They would pair really well with a chunky grey cardigan over top and a wide brim hat in camel perfect for fall.

So there you have it, a simple Everlane jeans review! I’ve added each style to my winter capsule wardrobe meaning denim is now a category that can be checked off- I don’t have to worry about denim all season long.

This is one of the many perks of creating capsules or small curated seasonal wardrobes like I like to call them.

How is the Quality of Everlane Products

For the price the quality is good, their denim is not an investment but at regular price it’s higher than a lot of other brands. Denim is one of those investments that’s good to make. When you choose the right style for you, and a quality material you’ll have them forever and actually end up saving money and stress.

What Size of Everlane Jeans to Shop

I truly believe size is relative, some like their denim to fit bigger while others like it tight. I bought the 90s Cheeky Straight in a size 28 and they fit true to size, the Modern Wide Leg Flare I bought also in a 28 and they fit true to size, the Authentic High Rise Skinny however were very tight. I wish I had gone up a size, so if you go for the skinny styles size up.

Will Everlane Jeans Shrink

I don’t wash my denim unless it’s actually dirty, denim doesn’t need to be washed it wears well and can stand the wear and tear. I’ve been wearing these styles for a few years without any shrinking, they have stretched less than half an inch through the waist with no shrinkage.

Will Everlane Jeans Stretch

Like I said above, the 90s Cheeky and Wide Leg Flares stretched less than half an inch through the waist which is always okay in my books for added comfort. The skinny denim did not stretch at all so keep that in mind.
