A Few Tips When Styling Paper Bag Shorts Outfit

The waist detail will be the focal point of the outfit, so make sure the other pieces you’re wearing are simple and will easily tuck into the shorts.
Check the front and the back of the outfit to make sure you like how they look, I find they accentuate your hips waist and butt so you want to make sure you’re comfortable.
Keep in mind material, some materials like denim are more structured and a bit easier to navigate, thinner materials like linen will show through the top you tucked into it making creases. I like to opt for a shorter top in this kind of situation.

Styling a Black Paper Bag Shorts Outfit

This post will feature two paper bag waist style pieces from Encircled’s newest launch since that’s what I have in my wardrobe and I’m wearing them the most, and I will also link other outfit ideas for you for inspiration.

The paper bag shorts are the most comfortable shorts I own, they come with a belt which most paper bag shorts do to cinch in the waist. I’ve added a plain black linen tee which works nicely for tucking in. I paired the shorts with a statement pair of espadrilles and the outfit is complete.

Styling Paper Bag Culottes

The culottes are a great option if you’re looking for something a bit longer, but still cool enough for hotter temperatures. I tied the black linen shirt for a sexier look and added a pair of plain black heels and a good belt bag.

These pieces are perfect for your work capsule wardrobe or everyday life. If I were to wear this exact outfit to work I would tuck in the shirt or even wear a tank top underneath and have the button up open so it gives a cardigan look, the options are endless really. You can also swap out the t-shirt for any other dress shirt in your wardrobe, that’s the good thing about these culottes is as long as you consider the top length anything goes.

Here are some paper bag shorts outfit ideas for styling paper bag shorts in a variety of ways.

I love the fist outfit on the left with the absolutely stunning cargo style paper bag shorts with the dramatic top, so elegant and classy. The patterned shorts in the middle are really fun for a daytime look, the beach, or drinks with friends. The blue shorts at the top right and the denim shorts are perfect for that summer days. I love wearing blue and denim the most in the summer but I can also see the denim paper bag shorts with boots and a sweater in the fall.

The bottom left two are from Everlane and are incredible, the longer version is so flattering and comfortable to wear and they come with a belt. The price is also very reasonable.
